  • What is PROTECT?

    PROTECT is a prevention education program managed by 3Strands Global Foundation that equips students, staff, and families with the knowledge and skills to recognize unsafe situations, establish healthy boundaries, and seek help when needed. It’s survivor-informed, evidence-based, and aligned with state and federal law.

  • Who is PROTECT for?

    PROTECT offers resources for students (K–12), parents/caregivers, and school staff/community professionals. The program is designed to strengthen safety nets at every level: classroom, family, and community. It can be implemented by school staff or community leaders who have been certified as PROTECT facilitators.

  • How is PROTECT delivered?

    We provide flexible delivery options: Self-paced online training, Live virtual sessions, In-person workshops, Train-the-trainer certification (to build in-house capacity)

  • How long does the training take?

    Online or virtual training for adults: 60-90 minutes. In-person workshops: 2-4 hours. Student curriculum: Two 45-minute lessons per grade level. Facilitator Academy certification: Two-day in-person or multi-session virtual.

  • How is PROTECT evaluated?

    PROTECT has been externally evaluated through a study funded by the CDC and led by independent researchers, validating its effectiveness in increasing knowledge, resilience, and help-seeking behaviors among students and professionals.
